Discovered and named in 1841 by Ross for Captain Francis Beaufort, R.N., hydrographer to the admiralty.
Description
A small island in the Ross Sea, about 10 miles north-east of Cape Bird, the north-western extremity of Ross Island. Its highest point is 1,700 ft.
